The importance of trails to my sanity was made crystal clear this summer when I couldn’t run. I had a foot injury that had been nagging me for months. I knew the only way to get better was not to run. I put this off for a long time because it is a key part of my training for XC skiing, especially in the summer.
Katie Miller is a born and raised New Englander, currently living in New Hampshire. Balancing a career as a criminal defense investigator with her never-ending desire to get outside and play. Cross country skiing is her first love but she is drawn to trail running’s similar ability to allow her to get out into the woods, explore, and feel invigorated. She loves the ability trail running has to be an active meditation. She is ski racing through the winter in Austria and the US. Starting in the spring she looks forward to tackling some longer distance trail races!
