Kate Phillips

Kate fell in love with running gliding along the shoreline of her hometown on Long Island. She ran at a small Division I university competing as a middle distance athlete before discovering her passion running marathons. Since then she has run multiple Bostons and plans to qualify for the Olympic Trials once the stars align. As a certified mountain guide in Colorado, Kate has helped numerous students fall in love with the backcountry through team building and goal setting exercises. She spends almost all of her time outside pursuing athletic feats whether they be trail running, skiing, paddle boarding, or simply enjoying a lazy day at the river. When she is not writing for the local paper or helping athletes discover their confidence at the local running shop, you can find Kate baking a fresh batch of cookies or taking a luxurious nap.
