One week out from my first 50 mile attempt and I still wasn’t over the annoying itch on the back of my arm where a wasp had stung me on the course. I also wasn’t over the sting of not finishing the race.
Jill grew up hiking and running in the green mountains of Vermont and is ever yearning to find new trails to get lost on. She met her husband in Alaska, but quickly dragged him back to Vermont, where they live on a 12-acre organic vegetable farm with their two daughters and black lab June. Jill has been running trail races since 2007 and recently began co-race directing the Groton Forest Trail Run in Groton, Vermont, which is going into its third year. When she isn’t running, or talking about running or making plans to go running she likes to be in mountains; skiing uphill, skiing downhill, hiking and camping. Jill ever aspires to travel, improve her running ability and find ways to make her daughter’s laugh.
